Although this bird has a face only a mother could love, the Black Vulture is a much needed scavenger in Earth’s ecological system.
Song Sparrow

Took a drive to Village Creek on Sunday and found this Song Sparrow in its favorite habitat: marsh reeds. This particular bird only winters in Texas and migrates back northward as the weather begins to warm.
